Garden House by the Sea
Chy Garth is a detached guest house, standing in its own grounds with large lawned gardens to the front, filled with a profusion of shrubs, exotic plants and flowered borders. These lead to the residents patio area and our private car park (cctv surveyed) to the rear. St Ives Bay and Godrevy Lighthouse form a backdrop to this quiet residential area.

The double bedrooms are en-suite, the single has private facilities across the hall. All bedrooms are centrally heated and double-glazed, and have remote control colour TV, the majority with Teletext, hair dryers and courtesy trays. You have the choice of family, twin, double or double coronet rooms, single, or the king sized four poster room. Ground floor rooms are available. All beds have duvet covers and each room is prettily and comfortably furnished. Most of the rooms have sea views over Carbis Bay, which is just a short walk away via the adjacent footpath. There is also a comfortable residents lounge with TV and stereo, and a separate dining room. A full English, Vegetarian or Continental breakfast is included within the tariff.
We are a non-smoking establishment. We only accept children over eight. Sorry, no pets.

Locality
Carbis Bay is a quiet residential suburb of St Ives which is a few minutes drive away, or accessible using the local park and ride scheme (train or bus), or a pleasant walk along the coastal path. St Ives is a beautiful old fishing town, with narrow twisting cobble streets. It has a wide variety of shops, and a lovely harbour. There is also the renowned Tate art gallery and local arts and crafts and antique shops to spend time in. For the evening there are many good restaurants, inns and bars to enjoy.
Apart from the five superb beaches in the area, where you can swim, fish, surf or sun-bathe there are also local golf clubs, and the coastal path to explore. Locally there are many gardens to visit, and during the spring and autumn bird watching on the estuary and reservoirs.
